TnT Racing 2001 Expenses Tires: Tires are probably the single most important piece on the modified. We must have good tires
every night in order to race well. While tires are important on the stock, they last up to 5 times longer than modified tires.
Stock Tires: $65.00 per tire Need: 10 per year
Modified Tires: $100.00 per tire Need: 1 per race Engines
: Engines have become increasingly expensive over the years. The engines that we run can currently be run in
either car. We have three very strong running motors, but like anything else on the car, they must be highly maintained. Our primary motors will need rebuilt twice per year, one at the beginning of the year and one
after 20 – 25 races. Engine: $4,000 - $6,000 new
Rebuilds: $1,000 - $1,500 Fuel: Stock: $3.50 per gallon
20-25 gallons per weekend Modified $2.50 per gallon
20-25 gallons per race Misc
: These expenses include crash damage, spare parts, fuel for the two haul trucks, pit passes, etc. Crashing is an inevitable part of dirt track racing. It
can be very expensive to put a race car back together after a crash. Therefore, we hope we never need to do it, but we do include the expense into our yearly budget.
Crash Damage (both cars) $6,000 Spare Parts $4,000
Fuel $60 per night Pit Passes $20 per person per night
